If you're using BGP rather than static routing, you'll need to get a
BGP implementation for your Linux, like quagga. And you'll need to
learn about BGP. I suggest the following RFCs:

draft-ietf-idr-bgp4-25.txt (supercedes rfc1771. read the draft instead.)
rfc1772 -- BGP as it's actually used on the Internet
rfc2283 -- multiprotocol extensions
rfc2545 -- ipv6 multiprotocol
rfc2918 -- route refresh
rfc1965 -- Autonomous System Confederations
rfc1997 -- communities

It's several RFCs, not just one, but those document only the features
of BGP that I'm actually using (except the last one :' ) right now at
my single-homed occaid-tunneled site, so it's fair to list them all.

If you're doing static routing, you might try installing your
``distro's'' package or RPM or ebuild or whatever they call it on
Linux, for freenet6's tspc. You won't use tspc itself, but on
freenet6 they configure their tunnels using a shell script, so you can
look at the tspc ``template'' for your OS, and copy commands from it
like a cheat sheet.
